    Dr. Woo has been the Chairman of NC-IH Holdings Limited, a member of Foxconn Technology Group, and Head of Channel Business Group of Foxconn since May 2008.  Since June 2010, he has also been the Special Assistant to the CEO of Foxconn.  Dr. Woo was the Chief Advisor of Inventec Corporation from August 2004 to May 2008.

    He is also the Vice Chairman of Nova Network which he and his management team bought from Vision Century InfoComm Investments Limited in early August 2004.  Until then, he was the Managing Director of Vision Century InfoComm Investments Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vision Century Company Limited, a publicly-listed company in Hong Kong.  Dr. Woo was appointed as the CEO of CyberCity Holdings and Managing Director of CyberCity Investments in 2001.  CyberCity Investments was acquired by Vision Century.  

    Before that, Dr. Woo was President and General Manager of Asia Pacific at Lernout & Hauspie (L&H).  In this role, he was responsible for overall business operations in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Japan, mainland China, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan.  Based in Belgium, L&H had worldwide business coverage and was listed on NASDAQ.

    Prior to joining L&H in November 1998, Dr. Woo was Managing Director of AsiaWorks Pte Ltd, which he co-founded in 1997.  The company was acquired by L&H.  AsiaWorks focused on developing and marketing Asian language speech and handwriting recognition technologies.

    Dr. Woo worked at Apple Computers for 12 years.  He joined Apple International in 1985 as Business Development Manager, subsequently Marketing Director of Asian region in 1987, General Manager of Apple Taiwan in 1990, and Director of the Apple Design Center – Singapore in 1994.  During that time, he was directly involved in the launch of three generations of Chinese dictation products.  He left Apple Computers in 1997 to set up AsiaWorks.

    He taught at the State University of New York at Albany, University of Chicago, and Stanford University.  He was also consultant to USAID, UNESCO, the World Bank, and various state government agencies in the states.

    Dr. Woo holds BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees from Stanford University.
