HUANG Yiping is a Professor of Economics at the National School of Development of Peking University. He is also an adjunct professor at the Australian National University. His research focuses on macroeconomic policy and international finance.
He is also the former Managing Director and Chief Economist for Emerging Asia at Barclays, where he led the firm’s coverage of macro-economic research on China and was responsible for Hong Kong and the political aspects of cross-strait relations with Taiwan. Previously, Mr. Huang also served as Chief Asia Economist for Citigroup, Policy analyst with the Research Center for Rural Development of the State Council, and General Mills International Visiting Professor at the Columbia Business School. He received his PhD in Economics from ANU and his Master of Economics from Renmin University of China.
